Under the weather

Don't you just hate it when things don't go to plan? Yesterday I had every intention of waking up this morning, cracking on the tunes and getting the housework done. But last night I suddenly started experiencing severe pains down my legs which kept me up most of the night. So this morning I'm really sleep deprived, getting such bad pains down my spine and in my lower back, and feeling rather dazed and nauseous. So I managed to find a fellow parent to take my Son to school, and I am lying in bed, about to dose up on Paracetamol and Codeine, with chocolate, biscuits and Doritos by my side, topped off with a lovely cup of Earl Grey Tea :)

I tend to have a ritual for when I'm poorly, and a must have for me is watching Harry Potter. I am such a huge Potterhead! I even have a shrine at home filled with figurines and memorabilia. So pretty soon I'm going to stick on The Order of the Phoenix and hopefully these painkillers will work so that I can catch up on some sleep before I pick my Son up from school. Make up Tutorials

I'm always looking for ways to evolve in the beauty world. I love discovering new products and looks. I often look for inspiration and tutorials online, and one that I find great is Barry M. They cover everything from eyeliner to pouting lips to nail art. What's also great is they have an app that you can download onto your smartphone. I would definitely recommend people check out Adam Burrell's tutorials online. My favourite would have to be on how to get Kylie Jenner lips. Just copy and paste the link below and be inspired.

Nails

It's just so typical of me that when I get my nails done, a week later I'm bored of them and want a new design. It was alright when I just had them painted with normal polish, as I could then just take it off and paint them again myself. I found it very therapeutic if I was having a bad day. But I've started having them painted with shellac which means I have to wait out the 3 weeks until they're due to be redone. Anyone else find this rather frustrating? I'm sat here looking at my creamy pink nails, with sparkle on the ring finger, and wishing I opted for a brighter colour. Now that I've stopped colouring my hair allsorts of bright colours, there's nothing about me that pops anymore, and I miss that. So anyway, I've been teasing myself by looking at nails designs on Pinterest. Now excuse me while I go cry over how I have 2 weeks left to get my nails done again!

My Obsession atm...

Is anyone else like completely obsessed with rose gold at the moment? I feel like it's the next best thing in the world. It's everywhere, like the plague! But the side-effects include extreme excitement, hyperventilation and a decrease in savings. Anyway as it's a love of mine I decided to do a post with pictures of anything and everything rose gold. Project Beauty Room

So I am currently in the process of designing my own small beauty room at home. I live in a 2 bed flat and as one of the rooms is too small for neither myself or my Son, I have put him into the large bedroom and will have a sofabed in the living room.

It still needs to be repainted, and I'm thinking of throwing in some rose gold wallpaper. My dressing table belonged to my great nan and has been stripped of the old fashioned fabric that was draped over it. I'm thinking of painting it a pastel blue, or maybe a classic creamy white.
